Apartheid and Me
A story for children about inequality, apartheid and learning to recognise injustice.
Why I wrote Apartheid & Me
I wrote Apartheid & Me to help children begin to understand what apartheid meant in the everyday lives of ordinary families — and to open conversations about equality, discrimination, courage and hope.

More Than Words
Living with the silence of Dysphasia / Aphasia
My husband’s severe stroke changed our lives. When words disappeared, we had to find other ways to communicate, understand and remain connected.
Empowering people to recognise and resist abuse
I Protect Me was founded to empower children and vulnerable people to recognise abuse, develop resilience and learn ways to protect themselves.
Through my work with I Protect Me South Africa, I have worked with communities and schools to give people the knowledge and confidence to speak up and stay safe.
My stories. My voice. My journey.
I speak because stories matter and because people who have experienced hardship, exclusion or abuse should not have to suffer in silence.
Here I share some of my personal stories, reflections, interviews and conversations.
